STILL HERE!

I've just cleaned up my website (some damn hackers messed around with it) and added a few things in the FILM SECTION. Apart from that there's not much to talk about these days. As announced in last August, Sonja and I have moved to Hamburg and I have started working at DTP/Anaconda. Find out more about our great games at www.anaconda-games.com. Sorry to everyone who's waiting for an Email reply. I get loads of messages these days and don't really have the time to answer them all. Please be patient!

In the meantime watch Showtime's new brilliant series "Dexter". It's based on Jeff Lindsay's novel "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and my new favourite must-see!

NEW 'MOTÖRHEAD' ALBUM

As I didn't have any time to update my website there's not much to report. But don't forget to check the 'MUSIC SECTION' to find out about Motörhead's upcoming masterpiece 'Kiss of Death'.

In further news I will leave my job as CDV Sr. Producer & Exec. Product Analyst behind. Sonja and I will move to a different place in September. Adventures ahead! :)

ALIEN SHOOTER II DEMO RELEASED ... NEW GAME SECTIONS ... HBO'S ENTOURAGE

...ALIEN SHOOTER II: As promised the first 'Alien Shooter II' singleplayer demo has been released on Monday, the 26th of June! Feedback so far is overwhelming as are the download numbers. Sigma is glad you like the demo that much - the only "bad feedback" is about the time limit really... and sorry, but that is how we intended it to be... :) Download links to the demo and teaser can be found in the 'Alien Shooter II' section on this website. ALIEN SHOOTER II DEMO ... UPCOMING MOTÖRHEAD ALBUM ... MOVIE UPDATES

...ALIEN SHOOTER II: be prepared for the first playable demo which will be released on next Monday, the 26th of June! It will feature a mission of the singleplayer campaign that Sigma have updated with a few elements from later parts of the story driven missions. The included mission will contain more than a dozen secrets! Finding them all will be an exciting task - especially when you think about the 8 minutes time limit! Sorry for that... ha! Of course you may try the demo over and over again and you are not even forced to leave it after the 8 minutes are over. So, we are not *that* annoying... ;)

Also, you will be able to enjoy two of the kick-ass survival mode maps! This will be limited to 6 minutes... extreme fun! Later in the full version you'll be able to upload your highscores and you'll also get to see the new multiplayer modes that will just be unbelievably great... be prepared! Spread the word! Sigma are doing an awesome job to enlighten your gaming life! Support them! Thanks!

...PERSONAL NEWS: My interview with the 'Zocker Heaven' magazine can be read HERE. It is mostly focusing on my job as Senior Games Producer and 'Alien Shooter II' - one of the projects I am currently working on.

...MOTÖRHEAD: The new Motörhead album "Kiss of Death" (working title) will finally arrive on the 26th of August 2006. One track is named "Kingdom of the Worm". Can't wait!

...DARIO ARGENTO: After having finished shooting his latest "Masters of Horror" Episode "Pelts" the great Dario Argento is now working hard on the third movie of his "Mother Trilogy". It is named "Mother of Tears", set in Rome (yes!), has a relatively huge budget and what Alan Jones has to report about the script is just overwhelming. Check the details on the best website about Dario at www.darkdreams.org.

Hope this one will work out (much) better than Dario's "Il Cartaio - The Card Player" which was an extreme disappointment for most of us...

...DOCUMENTARY MUST-SEE: Finally I have started my work on a 'FILM SECTION' update. Not much to expect, but soon there will be lots of more interesting docs, series and movie infos coming up. ACHIM'S "E3 2006" DIARY HAS BEEN UPDATED!

Thanks a lot for all the nice feedback! I am glad you liked my diary so far... I have added lots of info and photos today and more will come soon. Read the diary!

Also prepare yourself for an excessive "Film Section" update in the next few days. I will give lots of infos about the best documentaries out there: 'Road to Guantanamo', 'Enron - The smartest guys in the room', 'We feed the World', 'Wal-Mart - The High Cost of Low Price' and more.

ACHIM'S "E3 2006" DIARY

I’d like to invite you to read about my personal experiences at the E3 2006 and everything that took place around it.

It’s now the sixth E3 I am attending but the first time I am writing about it. Actually it’s the first time I am writing more than 20 sentences in a row that are not written in an E-mail and not directly connected to the development of a game. Everybody who knows about my website and the tiny updates every six months knows what I am talking about. ;)

In further news:

Motorhead's new album is NOT being released this May, but it will be out pretty soon. The guys have already finished about half of it and the release should hopefully happen in July or August. Can't wait! Lemmy's upcoming solo album will not be released before 2007. And finally Peter Sempel's masterpiece "Lemmy" will be released in German Cinemas on the 1st of June! Congratulations Peter!

If you can bear it you should watch Robert Greenwald's "United 93" about the horrors that happened on 9-11. To quote the "Dallas Observer": "this may be most wrenching, profound and perfectly made movie nobody wants to see."

'PHASE II' MOD-DEMO FEEDBACK --- NEW MOTÖRHEAD DVD --- V FOR VENDETTA

The Phase2 Mod Demo has been released everywhere on the net. Feedback has been overwhelming - everybody seems to love it. Or almost everybody. :) Read some of the feedback I've received in the 'Mod Demo Section'. Thanks to everyone who contacted me!

30 years of Motörhead!

It's just unbelievable. Have been listening to them since I was 14 or so. The only band I listened to that age were the Ramones. But then the movie 'Eat the Rich' came out... I watched the video tape a dozen times and listened to 'Dr. Rock' (during the end credits) again and again. Went and bought an album (or at least thought so... it was a live record, not a studio album - 'No sleep at all' it was called..) and I was totally shocked: compared to the album tracks that I knew from the movie this was so extreme! Everyone who ever saw or heard Motorhead live knows what I mean... To cut it short: since then I listen to them all the time (although I have to admit my music horizon is now more variable than back then...). ;)

In further news one of my absolute comic book favourites "V for Vendetta" by Alan Moore and David Lloyd will hit the big screen in November 2005. Visit the 'Film Section' to find out more.

'PANZERS - PHASE II' MOD-DEMO FINISHED!

A lot of work had to be done during the last few months since my last update. ...and finally, everything's done! The German and US Goldmaster versions of 'PANZERS - Phase II' already went to duplication and the game will be released end of July.

Soon my first official Mod Demo will be released. I spent a lot of time on that (besides mastering the game itself) and I can't wait for your feedback!

Check exclusive screenshots of the demo mission and cutscene captures and all that... soon, this section will be updated IF you are interested! So, if I receive enough requests to post some "Panzers editing tutorials" I will gladly do that. If the number of emails is too low, I will not spend that time... you know, that's all private work and I have a life (do I?)...

Before I forget it - here are some further news and recommendations:

...a new Motörhead DVD will be released on the 15th of June! 30 years of Motörhead! Double Disc!
...if you own a PS2 and haven't heard about 'God of War', go buy it now. This is the best mixture of DevilMayCry and Onimusha that you can get. Graphics and gameplay are unbelievable!
...the 6th and probably final Sopranos Season has been delayed and won't start this year. And it will feature 10 episodes only... a shame after the amazing 4th and 5th Seasons (Joe Napolitano and Steve Buscemi just rocked!)
...Alice Cooper's new album "Dirty Diamonds" was just released. It's a great one... not as good as the last one, but in the tradition of it. Some really great songs - check out "Pretty Ballerina", "Sunset Babies" and "Steal that car".. my favourites.
...finally there's a new Wallflowers album out! Since I heard them in a really old CSI episode I am a big fan. New album's called 'Rebel Sweetheart'.
...Lemmy's Soloalbum won't be released before mid 2006. Seven songs are mixed and done...
...EARTH 2160 has been released on the PC. Go check it out and see what happened during the last years since EARTH 2150...

we have just completed the US voice recording sessions for 'PANZERS - Phase II'. It was a pleasure recording genius voice actors like Steve Blum, Kirk Thornton and Dave Cowgill and everything went smoothly.

On the second day we had a special guest in the Studio: Peter Weller! Peter did the voice recordings for the role of Jeffrey S. Wilson - one of the heroes in the Allied campaign.

Currently we are finishing 'Phase II' - we are almost done! When I find the time I work on a 'making of' video, which will be released with the game. The current version is 15 minutes long and it's quite entertaining. :)

Visit the PHOTO SECTION to find a few new photos shot at the 'Rainbow' in Los Angeles. As many of you know, it's my favourite place on the planet.

Doing the GameStar interview was very disappointing (to say at least). I spent hours on that and not 10% of the text was used in the magazine. Anyway, what can you expect? That's just typical GameStarStyle...
